At fifteen, Chama is admitted to La Gran Familia, a foster house run by Mamá Rosa. There, he meets Gato, a young man who dreams of escaping and returning to the streets. But running away isn't easy: Rosa has allies outside the shelter, and the punishment can be brutal. Inspired by true events, the film portrays a forgotten childhood in a society that prefers not to look away.
